My Organic Wedding Day Makeup

Our wedding was in February. Being one of the hottest months, a Summer wedding and a very relaxed and outdoorsy event, I didn't feel like wearing a lot of makeup.
It was clear to me that I wanted to do my own makeup and I also scheduled in a proper trial with myself. As an organic makeup artist I wanted to use only the best natural products.
During my trial, I noticed that I wanted to wear way less than I had initially thought.
My skin is usually at it's best that time of year and I knew I would be quite tanned.
Keeping all this in mind, I was after a very subtle, natural "no-makeup-makeup-look" that lasts well in warm weather. I didn't even bother with any additional lashes, just mascara.
Looking back I am really happy with my decision.
I thought you might be curious what I ended up using. Of course, this was a look that worked for my skin type and event and it clearly won't work for everyone.
Skin Prep: A Light Moisturiser at that time I was using Zk'in Rebalancing Lotion, which sits well under makeup and works as a slightly mattifying primer. (at night leading up to the wedding I always used Organic Spa Night Renewal Treatment, which gently exfoliates the skin and kept mine free of little bumps or breakouts!)
Foundation: Although I was wearing Jane Iredale Pressed or BB Creme all the way through summer (and loved it!) I ended up using Vapour Atmosphere Soft Focus foundation for my wedding day.
It's not as long wearing but I love the finish and my skin was pretty good to start off with, I was wanted that light dewiness and extra moisture. I used it with a microfibre foundation brush.
Just in the t-zone, I set it with a hint of Jane Iredale HD mattifying powder.
Concealer: I used Enlighten Concealer by Jane Iredale under my eyes.
Bronzer: Ere Perez Pure Rice Powder Bronze
Cheek: Jane Iredale "Whisper" Blush
Highlight: rms Living Luminizer
Mascara: Ere Perez Waterproof
Eyeshadow: Just a wash of a bronze colour "Golden Girl" by Jane Iredale
Brows: Brow Kit in "Blonde" by Jane Iredale
Lips: "Beach Plum" Lipgloss by Jane Iredale.
So there you have it! That's all I decided to wear for my wedding.
Of course, that does not mean, that I don't love all my brides that wear a bold lip or dramatic eyes. Makeup is so personal and it just needs to make you feel fantastic, no matter how much or little you are happy to wear!
