Family time x last days of summer

With all the buzz we had take some time well spent with family and enjoy the last warm days of the season. Autumn is here now, people! The leaves are turning all beautiful colours and it's time for a wardrobe change. We started to dig out our warm clothes, that I have completely forgotten about.
Our little nephew Marcus is growing so fast, and is just the cutest to watch.
These photos were taking on one of the last warm days.
While it's still lovely during the day, the nights and mornings are very crisp now.
Beach time is over and I am very excited and looking forward to checking out Sydney's Museums and doing different things. I guess you guys have had enough of our beach pictures ;)
Although I can see us having loads of rugged up picnics by the water, even in the cooler months.

Bye Bye Summer, thanks for staying so long, we had the best time, see you soon.

And: Hello Autumn, I am looking forward to meeting you!

Sometimes All You Need Is A Holiday + Dolphins + BBQ's

Even if it's only for three days!
After a couple of weddings this Easter weekend,
We got up super early on Sunday morning to drive down the coast to Jervis Bay.

The best idea ever! I don't even know where to start...
I hope our photos do the beauty of the nature some justice!

The drive was already beautiful- While it was storming on our way down there, and raining on our little boat trip the whole time we spent there was blue skies and sunshine.
We were driving down by the coast, stopping over at some great viewing point while the sun was rising.
Once in Husskinson the slightly bigger down in the area, we went for delicious breakfast and coffees,
strengthening ourselves for the boat ride across the whole bay.
And we saw dolphins! Even a little baby one!
They were too fast to capture but Dave managed to snap a little part of them.
It was a magical experience.

Hyams Beach, where we were staying at has the whitest sand beach in the whole wide world (yes, it actually is in the Guiness Book Of World Records).
The water was the cleanest most turquoise I have seen, the nature was overwhelmingly beautiful.
Our little cottage with ocean view, was the cutest thing I have ever seen.
The owners put so much love into it, it showed in every detail.
Actually it was so good that on our second night we didn't even want to go out for dinner! We had a seafood BBQ on the veranda instead. AMAZING.

More about our little getaway very soon!
Hope you all had a fantastic Easter weekend.

Guiness cake, folk music and tea cups

The week started with an amazing little event put on by the lovely owners of the wonderful Storm In A Teacup vintage boutique. They made yummy Guinness cake and served drinks in beautiful teacups, while they had amazing musicians at guests. I am so in love with the interior of the shop.
I joined with my friend to hear the talented and inspiring Sam Lee, sing his folk songs, and telling stories. It was a nice little getaway from the usual fashion week events.
The coziness that this time of year brings with it is so beautiful.
Please excuse the blurriness and quality of these photos, I will try and perfect my photography skills
in low light.

This week has been busy, filled with preparations and makeup for exciting photo shoots and more prep for the move.
We took photos of our room, which will be missed.
We finished clearing out and made plenty of space for all new to come.
Thanks to Skype, I spoke to Dave every day and he had a very great time on his business trip to Sydney. He came back today with so many good news, and great job opportunities.
Fingers crossed. We are so excited. A few weeks of Fall and we will be back into Spring.
A little wardrobe challenge. It's getting cold over here.
Candles & tea time, snuggle-blanket-on-the-couch-time, colourful tights time, noodle soup time,
pumpkin time, socks in bed time, pretty leaves time, scarf time...
What do you like about Autumn?
