An Autumn Picnic With Oma & Opa

We had the Grandparents over! Oma Marita & Opa Rudi came all the way from Germany and they were lucky to have only sunny warm Autumn days. Only my Mum made it into a photo...

Looking back at this sunny picnic now feels strange as Winter has hit us shortly after and I am all rugged up while typing this. We had a week of thunderstorms and rain.

Don't judge when seeing little Faye barefoot, I swear it was REALLY warm in the sun and we only took her booties off for a short while. Those little baby feet though...

The weather was so nice that we ended up walking around all day. Lucky I left the house with comfortable shoes. Guys, I am SO in love with my new super comfy New York vegan sneakers by Will's! (I have been making a huge effort to avoid leather goods and have found another great cruelty-free online shop called Humankind which sells cool shoes and bags, yay!)

Faye is 4weeks in these pics and has already changed so much. She is getting less and less squishy. Her features are developing and she is getting real chubby cheeks. It's so fun to look at her and try to work out if she looks like Dave or me... It's our new favourite hobby. We have to compare baby photos. Everyone so far seems to think that she looks like her daddy...

I really live for the weekends now, the time we are spending all together as a family. Yet I am feeling so grateful that I get to spend every day with this little one. She is pretty special.
