Saturday was a big day, my first makeup workshop in Australia! It was held at Create Or Die studio in Marrickville. It was so much fun and I am so grateful to for the wonderful team of supporters and partners that came on board to make it all happen. I can safely say the long days and short nights leading up to the day were SO worth it. The day went by so quickly so I was extra excited about the photos and I can't wait to see the video, once it's edited as well.

All guests were so lovely and curious. I was blown away by their enthusiasm and passion for makeup. I really hope everyone took home new tips & tricks and is encouraged to try new products and techniques. I could have not hoped for a better crowd! Every time I mentioned a new topic one million more techniques and pieces of advice would come to into my head. Questions were asked and new solutions demonstrated.

I could have made this workshop last for a whole week and still would have had more to share... However I think everyone got a good taste and some insider tips during the day.

The workshop was a mix of tutorials shown on our pretty model Jessica and hands-on times, were everyone would have the time to experiment and try new techniques on their own faces. Of course there was Champagne, drinks and nibbles as well.

I love a good challenge and bringing together an event like this was definitely a good one. Thank you for all the wonderful people who contacted me already and asked for further workshops and invited me to come to their cities. As international makeup artist, I love to travel and the Sydney Makeup Workshop was a great start. I will get onto planning and we will make it happen, eventually!

Mascara for sensitive eyes

product-mascara-almond I had to share my most recent discovery for sensitive eyes & sensitive skin: Ere Perez! The beautiful, healthy and all natural products are suitable for the most sensitive skins and eyes. And I am absolutely in LOVE with the mascara, which does not make my eyes itchy after a long day, it's beautifully BLACK and it strengthens the lashes as well. Quite something. Their sleek white packaging makes it even more fun to use the products. Staples in my won makeup bag currently are:

Natural Almond Oil Mascara Pure Rice Powder Bondi Blush has the most amazing flattering peach tone & amazing longevity Real Rosehip Lipbar in NUDE, the most amazing nourishing nothing colour! So pretty and always in my handbag.

I can't wait to try more of these gorgeous products! Below some of my recent favourites: Clearisonic Brush, Eau Duelle by Diptyque and the pretty minimalistic Ere Perez products.

Repairing Winter Hair & Dreaming About Spring

photo Repairing my dry winter locks with these luxurious natural products makes me dream of Spring, the subtle cherry blossom scent of the Essential Treatments line adds to this as well. It was my first time using De Lorenzo products, but I have been curious about them for a little while.

When it's busy and I still need my hair to be in good shape I started trying the De Lorenzo products, which are packed with natural botanical power ingredients to smooth away frizz and restore my dry ends instantly. Not as messy and time consuming than my home made coconut oil treatment, the products are still natural, vegan and cruelty free. My new winter hair repair routine is the Equilibrium mask, once a week, the infinite detangler after every wash and the protein complex whenever I find time. Infused with rich plant based oils including organic rosehip, pure botanical extracts, and antioxidant vitamins and minerals to replenish moisture lost through wind, sun and chemical processes this range was exactly what my hair has been waiting for.

And voila, my hair is shiny and soft again and so much easier to brush through as well. I am ready for Spring!

eva & violet ~ cruelty free beauty

photoI recently had the chance to meet the amazing Lady behind cruelty free beauty online shop Eva & Violet Cruelty Free Beauty. Both animal lovers we had a lot to chat about, including our fluffy pooches and our favourite products. I love her selection of highest quality luxury cosmetics that are all cruelty free. Toni herself spend a good time testing all this amazing products on herself and handpicked a selection of her favourites which are now for sale on her website.

I just had the chance to try the incredible O&M hair products, which were just what my dried out winter hair needed. As well as a wonderful firming eye cream by La Mav. I just say: Long gone are the times were natural, organic and animal friendly products were the 2nd best option. These product work, have fantastic textures and smell divine. Have you tried O&M products yet? My nose and hair are impressed. And La Mav Skincare is a new favourite of mine, with highly potent plant complexes, the products feel good and keep my skin young looking and glowing. And they even look super pretty in the bathroom. Win-win-win-win-win-win situation.
