Catherine and David are in Love and it shows in every single image captured by Daniel Ferris. Their magical wedding was featured over at Hello May today and I am not surprised. The pure honesty and rawness of it had me fascinated immediately. It really shows it's NOT about all the little details, it's really about the couple, LOVE, friends and family. No fancy backdrop needed, flowers put together on the day by the groom and so many other irrelevant bits and pieces weren't needed here. This is the kind of wedding I love my job for this is what inspires me. I love being a makeup artist in Australia every day. I love the places my work take me to and the wonderful people I get to meet. There are days were I just feel incredibly lucky and grateful. Today is such a day. And if you not already noticed how chilled and amazing this couple is, I will leave you with their wedding "theme"inspiration: “Our inspiration was to throw the kind of party that we would want to go to – which particularly meant a natural outdoor setting (rain or shine – and we got both)” says Catherine.

Sparkle is always an option...

Screen Shot 2014-07-24 at 10.49.56 pm I thought I feature a few more images from our recent Ophelia Editorial. Originally for Hooray Magazine, some more before unpublished shots were now featured at the gorgeous wedding blog Burnett's Boards.

And as sparkle is always an option and I love anything golden, here some more sequin goodness and flower veil imagery.

Magic....

1606286_802865706395010_486083135_oAlice & Jeremy's wedding was just beyond magical. With photos by the incredible James Day, a horse a bunch of monks form Tibet and a a custom made couture gown there was a lot of magical detail envolved. I was happy to create the hair & makeup for the bride and her beautiful friends & family. This is just one little preview shot I got to see along with a thank you note.

I love my job!

A few weeks ago, I was lucky enough to once more being part of a wedding with the incredible Tim Coulson as photographer. I adore his work, it's simply beautiful and has a certain honesty about it, he manages to capture people in a very different and beautiful way. This wedding was really special in many ways. The bride & groom were from France, and had a small number of family & friends coming over from Europe to celebrate with them. Somehow french always manage to keep everything especially tasteful, and while Eve the beautiful bride was pregnant and had a gorgeous little bump, she looked effortless and fashionable in her chic and sleek dress, and only a french woman could carry of those big ruffles and still look elegant and timeless. Congratulations Eve & Guillaume! Thanks Tim for sharing the pictures with me!
