One fabulous bride with Specs

Not long ago I was writing about brides with glasses and how to do your bridal makeup accordingly if you choose to wear your specs on your wedding day. Only days ago I came across Amanda's great blog she has recently been that wonderful unique bride that truly had her wedding in her individual style and totally carried of the glasses. I just wanted to share this with you, since I think she is rather fabulous! Check out her wedding here.

Brides in glasses

Glasses are very big right now, and I love them. I lately got asked a lot about eye makeup for glass wearers and also just had a bride who decided to wear her glasses on her wedding. Glasses can look stunning on weddings, as long as you do your bridal makeup accordingly with enough definition around the eyes. Check out this amazing woodland wedding, the groom is wearing glasses in some of the shots too.

Most brides skip their glasses and go for contact lenses or even considering laser eye surgery to become fully independent from their specs before their big day. If you want to rock your specs on you big day, here are few makeup tips:

To make your eyes pop, when wearing glasses, you want to use a little more makeup then you usually would. Warm shades tend to look nicer underneath your frames, stay away from cool grey shades. A light wash of colour all over the lid and a soft definition with a darker shade through the crease. Avoid any dark colours and eyeliners underneath your eye, when you are wearing glasses. Keep the focus on the upper lid and use a eyeliner along the lash line for even more definition. Apply a generous amount of mascara. Individual false lashes can look great too. Groom and define your eyebrows and you are ready to go!

I hope this helped. Feel free to get in touch with any questions you may have. And let me know: Would you wear your glasses on your wedding day?

The nightmare about the green dress

Here is to another fashionable wedding : Full of very well dressed guests! See more here. I had a dream last night. My mum forced me to get married out of the blue, and not enough she wanted the whole event in her backyard, and she invited her friends only. I said: " But Mum, I haven't got anything to wear just now." She handed me a dress and said: "Sure you do!" - "But it's green...", I desperately tried to make my point. "Don't be so fussy" she said, pushing me out in front of the guests. I was wearing flip-flops and a green dress. My future husbands family she sat down in a corner away from the other guests. None of my friends were attending, The whole thing couldn't have been further from what I wish my wedding to be like one day. Stupid nightmares!!! We have a saying in Germany that if you want your dreams to become true, you shouldn't share them with anyone. I don't want this to become true at all, so I thought I better share it with the whole world, just to be safe. Happy wedding planning everyone!
